Schedule set for LeRoy Christmas events

LeROY — The Chamber of Commerce has scheduled several events for the Christmas season. 

-On Friday, Dec. 2 the Christmas Home Tour will take place from 4-7 p.m.  Tickets are available at LeRoy Florsit and Garden Shop, Sandy’s Secret Wednesdays, Kline’s Feedbunk and Busey Bank. 

-On Saturday, Dec. 3 the Replex will host its annual gingerbread house event from 9-11 a.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 309-962-2311. The event is free, reservations are only needed to reserve space. 

-The Empire Township Historical Museum will host a Lego building event on Dec. 3 as well. From 1-2 p.m., all children are invited to take part in the free event. 

-On Sunday, Dec. 4 the Chamber will host its annual Christmas craft and vendor fair at LeRoy High School. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and proceeds will benefit Team Tough Relay for Life. The Christmas Stocking drawing will take place during the fair with proceeds benefitting the Chamber Charities. 

-Also on Sunday, Dec. 4 the Chamber will host a Celebration in the Park in Kiwanis Park in downtown LeRoy. 

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the free event will include making of bird seed ornaments, caroling and refreshments. 

-Sunday, Dec. 4 will also include the Chili Luncheon at the First United Methodist Church at 201 N. Chestnut St. That will go from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. 

-The Christmas Parade is also scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. Before and after the annual parade will be the annual Sounds of Christmas event. 

The LeRoy Elementary 4th grade chime choir will perform at the Princess Theatre from noon-2 p.m. 

The Empire Township Historical Museum will host an open house from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the Crumbaugh Library will have their open house from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Both are located at 405 E. Center St. 

The Library will host a community sing-along beginning at 2:45 p.m. and the LeRoy High School Madrigals will give their annual performance at 3 p.m. at the library. 

At 5:30 p.m. that evening, the LeRoy First Presbyterian Church will hose Christmas Praise and Pizza. The event is free at the church at 101 E. Pine St.
